F.A.Q.1) How can I buy the application?
The application can be bought by entering your mobile number on the Purchase page. You will be redirected to the PayPal web site, where you can pay the application by credit or prepaid card in a secure way. After the payment process is completed, we will send you an SMS on your mobile phone, which contains a link to download the application.
2) Where can I find the application on my mobile phone?
The location of the ByteQuiz™ application on your mobile phone depends on the model of your phone. Usually you can find it in the menu called "Applications", or "Installations" or "Games".
3) What should I do if I don't get the SMS on my mobile phone?
If you don't get the SMS by two hours, please write us an email with your name, mobile phone number and date of purchase at
After a check, we will send you the SMS again.
4) Can I retry to download the application in case of a connection problem?
Yes, you can retry as often as you want by using the SMS you get after the payment.
5) Does the application needs an internet connection to run?
No. The application works offline, when you do the exam simulations. The internet connection is needed only for the first download of the application and the reload of new exam packages.
6) How can I exit the application and restart it later?
You can exit the application whenever you wish by selecting the command "Exit". You can restart the application from the menu "Programs", "Installations" or "Games", depending on your mobile phones. You can then continue your practice from the point you left it.
7) How many exam simulations can I execute?
As many as you want. Each download contains a package of 10 exams. After you have finished this, you can freely download a new package of 10 exams directly from the application on the mobile phone.
8) How does the downloading of a new package works?
After completing the first ten exams and trying to start a new exam, you get the possibility to download new exams. Simply select the command "Reload" and your mobile phone will download the new package. It might be possible that your mobile phone asks you to acknowledge the download. After the download is completed, the new package will be installed on top of the old application. So, in case the mobile asks you for permission to overwrite the old application, simply say Yes.
9) Is there something special when using a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and wanting to reload the application?
Yes, if you click on the "Reload" button, some Sony Ericsson mobile phones ask a question like "This will pause the ongoing download. Continue?". You have to click on "No", otherwise the reload will not work.
10) Is the usage of the application limited?
Yes, the usage of the application is limited to the mobile number you used to order the application. Therefore you have to enter your mobile number when starting the application for the first time.
11) Is there any time restriction?
Yes, the application is valid for 60 days from purchase date.
12) Does the application works on all mobile phones?
The application runs on all mobile phones equipped with Java (MIDP 2.0). Also, your phone must be internet enabled in order to download the application. Almost all modern mobile phones support these requirements. Please contact your mobile operator, in case of doubt.
13) How much is the application?
The price of the application is 2.50 EUR.
14) Are there any other costs?
No. You pay only once 2.50 Euro and that's all, no running costs, no subscriptions. However, depending on the mobile contract, your mobile operator can charge you with further costs for the data transmission (ca. 150 KB per download).
